Workshop on basics of different tools used for data collection and analysis in biomedical research

The Dr Meera S Nair is the Assistant professor in department of community medicine , KMCT Medical college .in her speech study design , formulation of hypothesis and protocol writing was discussed . she has also talked about sampling and sample size calculation . Dr Dhanya talked about ethics in research and Dr Arun Paul discussed about reaserch tools. This workshop was mainly aimed at providing research scholars and young budding doctors information regarding the various methods of collecting and measuring information on variables of interest in a systematic way for the purpose of formulating the result. It also summarised about the different methods of data analysis which helps in arriving at our conclusion of the study. An introduction to the basics of different softwares that can be used in research was also discussed and demonstrated to the participants. It was organised and hosted by Dept of Public Health Dentistry, KMCT Dental College. There were also various group exercises on preparation of google forms and questionnaires to make the session and learning more interesting and interactive.
